My selfshipping blog is a sideblog, and I follow/interact from my main (@whats-amata-you) regularly. I've been selfshipping as a means of coping with life since I was very, very young, but only discovered that the community exists back in 2022.I selfship for various reasons; however, when it comes to Kaiba Seto specifically, I take it extremely seriously. We go back over 20 years, and the fictional ship is an expression of my love for the real person—Seto is also a post-fictroject member of my DID system, and we are an in-system/ Headmate 4 Headmate couple irl.For my selfship blog, standard DNI applies: no bigots of any kind, no pedos/MAPs, etc. If you're being gross or an otherwise deplorable person, I will block you on sight. Seto and I started out as friends, something like 20 years ago! He may have gone on to become the love of my life, but I have a number of other very close fictional friends. Though these F/O relationships are platonic, they are no less meaningful or real to me than my romantic ones!

Naomi is my oldest S/I, and has gone through many name changes and redesigns over the years. Originally, she was inserted into the source as Yuugi's adopted elder sister and bore a much closer physical resemblance to me, though she was aged-up from my actual age at the time. This earliest form of her is why Yuugi and Sugoroku are my brother and grandfather, respectively.Today, Naomi is more of an OC than a direct S/I, though we are still very similar people in terms of personality. She is the protagonist of my rewrite of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (working title By Any Other Name), replacing Muto Yuugi from the source. Her grandfather is Dennis Carter, which is where he comes from on the f/o list lol.

Pol is decidedly the most tragic s/i I have, and also the least directly like myself. This is largely because, unlike all of the others, the source's storyline spans her entire lifetime from "birth" onward, which leaves me with no room to really construct a backstory for her. I do have some thoughts about her experiences in the Dream prior to her awakening and thus who she was when she awoke, but her experiences from that point onward have been very true to canon.Poularia and Trahearne have only 2-3 years together before Pol was forced to kill him herself, in order to fully kill the Elder Dragon Mordremoth. The remaining 7 years of her canon (so far) are devoted to carrying on the military and diplomatic work she and Trahearne began together with the formation of the Pact, as well as the duties conferred by her unique bond to the newest and much more benevolent Elder Dragon, Aurene.A complete biography detailing Poularia's story so far, including her ill-fated romance with Trahearne, is in the works.

Annabelle Hawke

Annabelle is a controversial figure both in-universe and in the DA fandom at large, being a mage who actively supports the Templars and sides with them at nearly every decision point in DA2. Her entire character profile is definitely Problematic^TM, and she's a major reason I no longer participate in the DA fandom at all. Though I will no longer write stories surrounding her and her adventures, she is one of my favorite S/Is I've ever created and I do talk about her occasionally.Annabelle was not created with the intent of being a problematic character, but rather, she represents my own cultural background and the choices I myself would have made in her position, especially at that time in my life when I created her. She cares deeply about other people, but believes mages—not excepting herself—are far too dangerous to be allowed to participate in society with the mundanes. Her psychology is complex and contradictory, and is basically a study in cognitive dissonance; I love to write about her but she is definitely the darkest/most morally grey S/I I have ever created.

Amie Carlisle

Weaver of Fate

Amie is my least-developed S/I, and the least like myself in many ways. She originated as nothing more than the random name I plugged into the game for it to use for its blank-slate main character, like any other dating sim. However, the lore and wildly self-contradictory plots and stories of Star Crossed Myth if you play all of the routes captured my imagination, and Amie gained some interesting depths and reworked plot arcs.She's fun to play with and I love most of the guys she hangs out with in-game, and she might get some more attention at some point. In her story arc, she ends up with a weird triad with Huedhaut and Zyglavis of all people, which I always find a bit funny. She who weaves the web of fate can do whatever she wants, though.
